5K RED Dragon meets “Sleeping Dragon” in Baler, Aurora

Monday, October 6th, 2014

Every time we pass this magnificent rock formation on our way from Baler, Aurora to Dicasalarin Cove (more about “Dica” in a later post) we are struck by the resemblance to a sleeping dragon.

Of course, this time both Dragons had to meet čśë

The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat

Sunday, August 24th, 2014

This engagement was one of the quickest to get from the tags of “first contact” to “hire” and to “final delivery”. ┬áThe challenge here was that the budget did not allow for a big crew and the client did not only want a film about the (amazingly beautiful) resort but also Photos. Good thing in this case Anne could double as photographer and camera assistant and I doubled as directing cinematographer and photo assistant.

4 days (fun in the sun) later and with 750GB of 4K RED files on several hard drive was the first rough cut edited while still on location and during the return flight home to the Philippines. Boiled down to the clients wishes this 3:30 minutes version was the final output. I had to kill quite some of my babies in this one (especially the Spa, caves and cliffs).  The natural scenery is amazing with groups of wild Macaque monkeys foraging in the tree tops.

Thank you Banjaran Hotsprings Resort – The Shiro Dhara (hot oil forehead drip) treatment is the most relaxing thing ever.
